Thanks for posting about this. We took our 8th grader to Gateway Institute of Technology magnet high school this morning and liked what we saw. We also missed the big weekend Open House last month, and I was very disappointed about that.

A Gateway student in the senior class gave the tour. I would have liked a bit more interaction with administrators and teachers, but they had to deal with the current students as this was a school day, as you mentioned. That said, we did learn a lot and both parents and potential student came away with a positive impression.

Yum! I'm beginning to mourn already -- the peach season is waning. I got some sad looking ones at Thies Farm yesterday, and there were no nectarines. But that's okay -- guess that means you'll be posting Fall recipes and outings soon.

Hi,

Is there still time to submit a story? I had a difficult delivery that left me with a weak immune system. So much so, that six months after giving birth, I was sent to a hemotology oncologist...they thought I had blood cancer! All of this was due to losing too much blood during the delivery and the fact that my OB should have given me a transfusion, but didn't.

Let me know if you'd like to hear more.

Thanks,

Sunshine Fromkin

P.S. I'm in Arizona, but my girlfriend recommended I share my story.
