‘Dynamic, geometrically challenging” 3-D drawings (Nov. 16)

November 12, 2008

The upcoming COCA Free @ 3 Community Day uses the intriguing description above to introduce Sunday’s (Nov. 16) topic. The three-dimensional mixed-media drawings tie into the Millstone Gallery’s new exhibit, Brandon Anschultz: Transmission/Destination, so the 6- to 12-year-olds who sign up for the workshop will be able to draw on inspiration from those as well as from their own imaginations.

The following month’s free hour-long workshop is for the younger set, ages 3 to 6: an introduction to ballet. It takes place Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. Both events are at the COCA building in University City, and to sign up you can simply e-mail the names and addresses of those attending to freeat3@cocastl.org.  As you can tell from these two examples, each month’s theme targets a different age group and interest.  The workshops are a great introduction to COCA’s programming.
