Symphony Tuesdays (Dec. 16)

December 15, 2008

Does the weather today make you long to be somewhere warmer? Southern Italy, say, surrounded by green plants and warm air? I can get you close tomorrow: The Symphony Tuesday concert at the Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park. This 10-year-old series is a free one, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Music starts at 7 p.m.

All the selections will be of Italian origin. I don’t have a list of songs, but I can tell you that Verdi, Puccini, Respighi and Wolf are among the composers. Soloist are Marlissa Hudson (soprano), Eva Kozma and Jooyeon Kong (violin), Jonathan Vinocour (viola) and Sebastien Gingras (cello).  For details on this and other performances in the chamber concert series (on Feb. 10 and Apr. 7), call 314.286.4432 or visit the symphony’s homepage.
